Answers to the questions we hear most — finding your FCC ID, programming a new key, fitment, returns and shipping.

How do I find my FCC ID?

The FCC ID is the single most reliable way to match an exact replacement key. To find it:

  1. Flip your current remote over, or pop off the back cover / battery door.
  2. Look for a short code printed on the case or on a label inside — it looks like HYQ14FBA, KR5V2X, or M3N-A2C931426.
  3. Enter it in the search bar at the top of any page, or in the FCC field on the home page finder.

No code visible? Use the year/make/model finder instead, or send us a photo of your fob and we'll identify it.

Do I need to program the key? (Programming guides)

Almost always, yes. A new key has two steps that may apply:

  • Cutting — the metal blade is cut to your door/ignition. Any hardware store or locksmith can cut an emergency blade; some keys are key-code cut.
  • Programming — the transponder/remote is paired to your car's computer. Every product page lists the method:

OBD self-program — some vehicles let you pair a key yourself with a simple on/off ignition sequence. We link the steps where available.

Locksmith — a mobile automotive locksmith can program on-site, usually cheaper than a dealer.

Dealer — a few high-security vehicles require dealer-only tools.

If a key seems "not to work," it's most often simply un-programmed — not the wrong key. Check the method before assuming a fitment problem.

What is the fitment confidence score?

It tells you how verified a key's fit is for your vehicle, based on OE cross-reference, FCC ID match, transponder chip, frequency, and real-world fit history. A high score means we've verified the match across multiple signals; a likely score means it should fit but has fewer confirmations. When a key is returned for fitment, its score automatically drops — so the score reflects reality, not marketing.

Will this key fit my car?

Enter your vehicle or FCC ID and we'll show matching keys with their confidence scores. Match by FCC ID when you can — it's the most precise. Still unsure? Ask us before you buy, and remember every key is backed by the 30-day fitment guarantee.

What's your return policy?

Thirty days, and fitment returns are on us. Full details on the Returns & Exchanges page. Note that keys already cut or programmed can't be returned unless it was a fitment issue on our end.

How fast do you ship?

Most in-stock keys ship the same business day, with free shipping over $75 and a flat $8.95 under that. Full details on the Shipping page.

How do I pay? Is it secure?

Checkout is handled by PayPal — pay with your PayPal balance or any major credit/debit card. We never see or store your card number, and you get PayPal's buyer protection on every order.
